Lactation Services and Newborn Feeding Consults

We provide evidence-based information, and we are a source of acceptance and understanding.

We believe in collaborating with each family to create individualized plans for feeding success—and that can look different for everyone.

We work with caregivers that have questions about the best way to feed their babies. These can include newborn feeding, breastfeeding while pregnant, using breast pumps, breastfeeding or chestfeeding older babies, or inducing lactation. Whether you plan to breast/chest-feed or use formula, need a back-to-work plan, or a weaning plan — we are here to support you.

You may benefit from an in-home lactation consult if:

  • You are experiencing pain

  • You or another care provider is concerned about your baby's weight

  • You have been asked to provide supplemental feedings

  • You are worried about your milk supply

  • You experienced challenges with a previous baby

  • You want someone to assess for "tongue-tie"

  • You are "triple feeding" (feeding at the breast, pumping and bottle feeding)

  • You feel like you are feeding your baby around the clock

  • Your baby is acting gassy or colicky

  • You would like assurance that everything is going well

  • You are overwhelmed, tired, and unsure if you're breastfeeding “the right way”

  • You would like support with weaning

  • You want to feel supported and heard in your breastfeeding and postpartum experience

We recognize that feeding issues can’t always wait two weeks for an appointment. We offer services Monday through Friday.

BCBS, CIGNA: Please submit this form for The Lactation Network (TLN), our billing partner for BCBS and Cigna, to check coverage. Do not complete this form if you have Aetna, United, Tricare or ANY other insurance.

  • TLN will respond with a determination in about an hour on weekdays.

  • After you hear back from TLN, please book below using the Request Appointment button above if coverage is confirmed.

All other insurance and self pay:

$250 home visit.

We will provide you with a superbill that you can submit for reimbursement.

Do NOT complete the Lactation Network form unless you have BCBS or Cigna.
