About Lori
Originally from New York, Lori has called D.C. home since 2008. She's a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a wide range of experience across homes, schools, hospitals, and clinics. Lori earned her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Howard University. Lori is a member of ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association), DCSHA (DC Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and the DC Breastfeeding Coalition.
Her specialties include infant and pediatric feeding, early intervention, and early language development. Lori loves creating therapy sessions that are tailored to each child’s unique interests and strengths. She’s passionate about using evidence-based strategies and always keeps a child/family-centered approach at the heart of her work.
Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, going on weekend trips to visit friends, reading, cooking, and exploring fun, crafty hobbies.
