This workshop is led by two Physical Therapists with background and training specific to pelvic floor.

Improving and maintaining pelvic floor function during the post-natal period is more than doing kegels. This workshop is intended for women during pregnancy and the postnatal period. The information is very beneficial whether you are pregnant, early postnatal or even years postnatal. Note this is more of an introduction, participants will learn some techniques, however this is not an exercise course

Participants will learn about:

  • What is normal and not normal post partum
  • Vaginal prolapse
  • Pain with intercourse
  • Incontinence and Diastasis Recti
  • Breath, posture, and body mechanics
  • Other interventions that are often helpful for more common issues with pelvic floor

Participants will learn how to properly cue pelvic floor activation, simple strategies and resources for common pelvic floor issues, and the principles of Integrated Functional Pelvic Floor Exercise .

 $30/per person, 1 1/2 hour workshop
